ABB IS2 switchboards are modular and type-tested switchgears with metal sheet enclosures, which can be used in automation or energy distribution applications, placed side by side or back to back. IS2 panels are suitable solutions for electrical automation, control and command panel applications. The panels are produced as modular and floor-mounted type.

ABB Solar Collection Panels
In a photovoltaic system, the modules are arranged in strings and fields, depending on the type of inverter used, the total power of the modules and their technical characteristics. The serial modules are connected in the module itself, while the parallel connection of the strings is done inside the string aggregation boxes, which also contain interconnection systems, surge protective devices, disconnectors and surge arresters.
String summation boxes form subsystems that can be standardized according to the number of strings, voltage, and rated current.
For public utility scale installations, the combiners are equipped with monitoring devices to measure current, voltage and temperature to ensure array availability and maximize production.
